Black History Month recognizes the importance of learning about the histories and sacrifices of Black people and their communities throughout Canada’s past that have been instrumental in cultivating a culturally diverse and inclusive country.
Students across District School Board Ontario North East (DSB1) demonstrate a commitment to learning more about these Canadian stories and the significant contributions of Black Canadians by participating in open dialogue and engaging in a wide range of learning, activities and initiatives.
