International Literacy Day

International Literacy Day recognizes the power of literacy in supporting and uniting individuals in learning new knowledge and skills, which can help shape our collective attitudes and behaviours in fostering a culture of respect, understanding, and relationship-building.

In DSB1, students engage in multilingual literacy through French as a Second Language (FSL) programming. In addition, students participate in Anishinaabemowin and Cree language classes offered at 7 DSB1 schools.
